Governor Cross Honours Prison Officers in Third Local Medal Ceremony

Seven officers of His Majesty’s Prison received Coronation Medals on Friday to honour their dedicated service.

This marks the third local presentation, following a ceremony on May 30th for the Royal Montserrat Police and Fire Service (RMPFS), as well as a ceremony on May 27th to the the Royal Montserrat Defence Force (RMDF).

The medals, presented by Governor Harriet Cross, honour those who served in uniformed roles during King Charles III’s Coronation, or contributed to Montserrat’s ceremonial observances, and had completed at least 5 years of active service by 6th May 2023.

This commemorative medal recognizes a wide cross-section of service personnel and first responders whose commitment helped mark the transition of the Crown.
